Privacy Policy
codingbar · last updated 13 September 2026
codingbar shows how much of each AI coding plan you have left and when it resets. It does this
entirely on your device. There is no codingbar account, no codingbar server, and no analytics.
What the app stores, and where
- Credentials — the tokens and session cookies for the providers you sign into
are stored in this device's Keychain, protected so they are unreadable until the device has
been unlocked once after a restart. They are never uploaded anywhere and are not included in
device backups.
- Provider settings — which providers you enabled and how they are configured
are stored in the app's own container. This file holds references to Keychain items, never
the credentials themselves.
- Usage figures — the percentages and reset times shown on the cards and in
the widget are cached on the device so the widget can render without re-fetching.
Who your data is sent to
Only to the providers you choose to sign into. When the app refreshes, it calls that provider's
own API directly, using your credential, exactly as their own tools do. Those requests go to the
provider and nowhere else. The developer of codingbar receives nothing.
Each provider's handling of that request is governed by their own privacy policy.
What the app does not do
- No analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- No data is collected by the developer, so none is sold or shared.
- Diagnostic logs stay on the device and record only provider names and error text — never a
credential, account identifier, or response body.
Notifications
Quota warnings are scheduled locally by the app. Nothing is sent through a push server.
Deleting your data
Signing out of a provider deletes its stored credential immediately. Deleting the app removes
everything the app stored, including the Keychain items it created.
Children
codingbar is a developer tool and is not directed at children.
